This Damascus Steel Folding Lockback Pocket Knife Engraved Wood Handle looks great, performs well, and is a solid value for the money. This pocket knife has a durable steel construction that lends itself to hard use, yet it's light enough to carry every day. The 7-inch blade opens smoothly with a thumb stud. The handle has two recessed liners that offer reliable control and an engravable wood handle that fits comfortably in your hand.

The blade of this knife is made up of  Modern pattern-welded Damascus steel, 512 layers of hard higher carbon steel are welded to many layers of soft lower carbon steel. The blade is handmade, forged and welded, twisted, ground and flattened. It is then forge-welded some more. The stack of steel is formed into a billet, which is used to make a knife. The knife is profiled, ground, and heat-treated to reveal the striking pattern. It is then tempered & edge sharpened.

Designed for comfort and ease of use, the Damascus Steel Blade is forged into a spring assist feature that opens at the push of the thumb. The blade is extremely sharp and stays that way with proper care.
