The blade is forged from a blank piece of Damascus steel using traditional hand forging methods.  This hand-forged Damascus steel hunting Skinner blank blade knife is built with 512 layers of stainless steel, making it tough and durable.  The blade is hollow ground and washed with linseed oil to seal the surface of the steel.  This process gives a nice mirror finish on the blade that remains even after using the knife daily or thousands of times.
